I was a late starter as a photographer, taking up digital photography at fifty and turning - later still - to the traditional analogue techniques.

With a professional background in theatre and journalism, my photographic interests lay somewhere between a visual drama and a document, preferably - but not exclusively - interpreted on black and white film.

The craft of a traditional, medium and large format photography is of great interest to me and even though the technical excellence mostly eludes me, I believe that the pursuit itself makes me less blind to the world around me.
